301 goals in 290 appearances is the record that Cristiano Ronaldo has with Real Madrid after being able to score against Eibar on April 11. The Portuguese forward is now making his mark on the history-books of Real Madrid as he is edging closer to Raul’s goal-scoring record which is 323 goals in 741 appearances.

Cristiano Ronaldo is only a few goals away from becoming the top goal-scorer of Real Madrid and he is about to do it in less than half of the amount of appearances that Raul managed to do during his playing career at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Even with everything that C.Ronaldo has accomplished not only with Real Madrid but also with his former club Manchester United, the Portuguese attacker is not a fan favorite for many people around the world and this is due to the arrogant personality that the 30 year old player displays when he performs on the pitch.

There have a been a number of occasions where C.Ronaldo has been sanctioned and critiqued due to some of the goal celebrations and actions that the winger has made in certain games and this is another reason on why C.Ronaldo is not as admired as much as other top players such as: Lionel Messi or Ricardo Kaka who won the Ballon d’Or award back in 2007.

In spite of all the criticism that the Portuguese forward has received throughout his career, Raphael Varane does believe that Cristiano Ronaldo is a outstanding person not only inside the pitch but outside of it as well as the French defender said: “This is a superstar. But also a very professional guy; I have learnt to always listen to your body to be on top physically. This is an outstanding competitor, always 200% and an example to follow in everyday life.
