Xavi Hernandez spent over 15 years performing for Barcelona and the Spanish midfielder managed to collect 28 titles during this period of time but the veteran player is still hungry for more as he wants to continue securing more pieces of silverware and this is what he is planning to accomplish in his new club, Al Sadd.

The experienced player took his chance to voice his current situation and what he wants to do with Al Sadd as Hernandez said: “I feel happy because of the special atmosphere within the team, we are working as one family’’

“I want to win everything with the team and achieve many victories to help make them at the level of the top European teams. I will also try to transfer the philosophy of Barcelona on how to play’’

The last match that Xavi Hernandez played for Barcelona was back in June 6 of 2015 when he entered the pitch at the 77th minute during the finals of the Champions League which saw Barcelona facing off with Juventus.

Barcelona eventually went on to win the European competition as they are the latest winners of the Champions League. The Spanish club now has the task of defending their title as well as also having to protect their La Liga silverware and started on the right foot as Barcelona claimed a 1-0 triumph over Athletic Club in the opening match of the season.

Luis Enrique and his team are doing a fine job but the absence of Xavi Hernandez is still evident as he was the main playmaker of the team with precise passes and was able to connect with every single player on the pitch with outstanding accuracy.

ArdaTuran was the man who was selected to replace Xavi Hernandez but due to a transfer ban that Barcelona is going through, Turan is not able to play a competitive match for the club until January of 2016.
